Paper Presentation

"Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with deeper meaning".Paper presentation is the combo of showcasing the written and presentation skills along with some relevancy with the topic given or considered for the event. It means organizing data in a comprised format along with explaining the particular concept in front of audience with clarity and confidence. It renders an opportunity to develop unique solution to real world problems by applying the capabilities of science and technology and present it in the form of research papers. It provides a platform to compete with profound researchers from all over the nation.

Rules

  • Content of the paper submitted must pertain to one of the topics alloted

  • Maximum of two members per team is allowed

  • The participant should be part of only a single team and a team is allowed to submit only one paper

  • The paper should be submitted as an MS Word document (.doc format only) with Times New Roman font (size 12) and single spacing

  • 2-column (IEEE format) should be adopted

  • All teams must bring three hard copies of their papers during the presentation

  • The papers are selected based on criteria such as effectiveness of solution proposed and innovative nature

  • Participation certificates will be awarded for the shortlisted candidates

  • Decision of judges shall be final and it will be binding to all

Format

 

STAGE I: ONLINE PAPER SUBMISSION:

 

  • The paper must be sent to acumen2k15@gmail.com

  • The subject of the mail should strictly be "PAPER_PRESENTATION - Title of the Paper"

  • The last date for submission of the paper is 13-Feb-2015.

  • Selection of first stage will be intimated through mail on or before 13-Feb-2015.

STAGE II: CONFIRMATION OF PARTICIPATION:

 

  • If your paper is selected, Confirm your Participation on or before 15-Feb-2014.

  • If not confirmed, your paper will be rejected

 

STAGE III: ON STAGE PRESENTATION:

 

  • The final round will be on-stage during Acumen 2015.

  • The participants are required to present their paper, in person.

  • The participant will be given 6 minutes for the presentation and 2 minutes for Queries.

  • The decision of the jury will be final and binding.
